Description

Responsibilities: Individuals in this position will perform the following activities: • Maintain understanding of the detailed technical requirements of the program, as they are related to the system software components, based on original client contract documents and each subcontractor’s agreed upon statement of work. • Oversight on all elements of software integration for ITS subsystems. • Ensure adherence to best practices in software integration • Ensure that the various levels of tests cover all aspects of software integration • Ensure that documentation on interfacing and integration among the P2 subsystems and between P2 subsystems and external agencies are complete. • Ensure that all software related documentation is correct and complete. • Ensure that all subsystems meet all software related requirements like open architecture, interoperability with other providers, etc. • Ensure that the software used on the program is under strict version control and that all changes are well documented. • Ensure that the performance of the software is monitored to assure adequate performance as number of field deployment increases. • This position reports to the Technical Manager. Qualifications: Individuals in this position will need to have experience that includes: • Academic qualifications in I.T. discipline. • Experience of 5-7 years in system software engineering involved with system design, installation, test, and commissioning. • Knowledge of various software platforms and product lines for applications, databases, reporting tools and other related components. • Understanding of the process and activities associated with sizing, configuration, development, installation, and start-up of system software components. • Experience using automated tools such as the Rational suite for documenting, tracing, and managing requirements of a program. • Knowledge of transportation-related technologies and systems including such areas as traffic signal control systems, CCTV systems, license plate recognition systems, photo systems for red light and speed enforcement, VMS systems and AVL systems. • Ability to work from a primary office in Saudi Arabia. • Quality certifications like Six Sigma will be beneficial. • Ability to speak, read, and write in Arabic would be beneficial. • Strong personal integrity and commitment to ethical behavior.
